The brief was to capture city views from the upper floor and create a space that can be divided into two separate zones giving the possibility to adapt the home to current lifestyle.

Compact modular home

Offering two levels that in fact can work completely autonomous this house can be easily converted into providing a short-term accommodation on a ground level for when the teenagers have left the home. Close proximity to the city and bus just on the doorstep allowed us to maximise the house position on this very small block by reducing the carport to one bay only. Having said that we have allowed for the extra car to be parked behind the reversing bay when alfresco is not in use by providing an extended hardscape to flow and overlap with an outdoors entertaining.
