Set in the Perth Hills at Darlington, Oxley House is a landmark project for Studio Origami. It won four awards in 2018, including Best Residential Design under $500k at both State and National level, and Green Smart Project Home of the Year.
The design balances everyday liveability with high energy efficiency. A hybrid SIP (structural insulated panel) construction system delivers excellent thermal performance and suits the home's clean, simple barn form.

Built to be lived in.
Flexible spaces that can change purpose as the family does, with pools of sunlight reaching through the home all day.
The design went through several concepts to find the most cost-effective solution for the site, positioning the house so outdoor areas work hand in hand with the interiors. Colorbond cladding wraps over the first floor and hides the gutters and downpipes, one of the carefully planned details that gives the home its character.
The zones are carefully arranged and connected: 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a central kitchen and dining area, separate ground-floor living and a balcony, all within a considered 280 m² footprint.
