OUR STORY
Studio Origami was founded in 2014 by Izabela Katafoni, specialising in residential architecture across Perth and Western Australia. As a Certified Passive House Designer, Izabela brings a strong focus on building performance, energy efficiency, and long-term sustainability to every project.
Her work has been recognised with multiple industry awards, including:
Best Residential Design under $500k (State and National)
Commendation for Best Interior Design WA
Green Smart Project Home of the Year
With a European background, Izabela brings a deeply considered and practical design approach—combining efficiency, precision, and a strong understanding of how spaces are experienced. Her ability to step into the client’s perspective ensures each project is both functional and meaningful.
Between 2020 and 2023, Studio Origami operated as Studio Origami Architects alongside registered architect Javier Ayora. During this time, the practice evolved and strengthened its systems and design processes, continuing to build a strong foundation for future growth.
